After twenty years in the remodeling business, I am bringing my expertise into new home construction by building a subdivision in a parklike setting featuring sidewalks and streetlights. With this project I will solely be in charge of building multiple homes in one location all at the same time. Maple Forest, located on Longkill Road, is not just any subdivision but a cluster of sixteen distinct homes each with my personal touch. I am offering my customers a wide variety of styles with quality construction and amenities such as Kohler fixtures throughout, Silent floor systems, Schrock kitchen cabinets with granite countertops, energy efficient Anderson windows and so much more. The construction industry wasn’t a field I decided one day to pursue, but was an outgrowth of working with my father who owned a roofing business. I remember, as a little boy, my father putting me on his knee as we drove from site to site. As I grew older, I began to see that my father worked independently and each job was a different challenge. I enjoyed the change in jobs and moving around to different locations all throughout the day. I was in my teens when my father took me along to put a roof on a newly constructed home. That’s when my career path was cemented – I wanted to be the one building houses not just putting on the roof. I worked for my father all during high school and college, graduating with an Associates Degree in Marketing from Hudson Valley Community College. At the age of 23, I branched out on my own to learn all the other facets of home building. For the next three years I worked close to every construction job in the industry. An important facet in building is framing and I learned that skill by running my own framing crew. At the age of 26, I built my first home without the luxury of air powered tools. For the next several years I framed over 200 homes for some of the biggest builders in the area while developing a close network of subcontractors that I still use to this day. Today, I own several trucks, power equipment and manage over 20 companies employees with over 65 subcontractors that I can rely on to bring the same quality workmanship from my remodeling business into the new home construction business. As I have always stressed, I will continue to expect a clean, friendly work environment and a on time and on budget project by using only subcontractors that I have worked side by side with over the years who share the same values as I do.
